When asked if he thought the losing season had an impact on the student body, Robert Nickelson, a parent of a senior on the football team, without hesitation, said that losing always has an impact on the students. “When you win, they show up, when you lose, they don’t,” he stated. The students here at Northview did exactly that. The record amount of people to show up to any game this year was around 300, compared to the record breaking 400+ students that showed up in 2014 to an away game.
Our oh, so loved NV pride was found silent in the stands. Even when kids did show up, there was not a whole lot of cheering being done. Co-student section leader, Megan Lyons, stated that the student section was not as much fun as the previous year's, saying, “The kids were pretty disrespectful, and they would always get mad at us [student section leaders] even though it was their own fault, because the underclassmen wouldn’t even cheer.” Lyons went on to say that she felt that it wasn’t so much of a problem with the football team, but more with the attitude of the students.Of my three years in the stands, this year has stood out like a sore thumb.

Our record of 1-8 was bad, yet even worse the attitudes that surrounded the team. Student body president and co-student section leader, Iris Johnson, leaves us with this advice: have people in charge that want to be there, work well together, and care for the whole school's opinion, not just their own. At the end of the day it all comes down to this: What kind of day is it? (A great day to be a Wildcat.)
