Heavy topics are no big deal for the Diversity Youth Program club, also known as D.Y.P. They cover it all, from improper language, mental illness awareness, and this year, equality. Each year, D.Y.P. aims to inform younger Northview students about these topics. Small groups are sent in to speak with younger students about important issues.

The current president of the D.Y.P. club, senior Cassondra Boda, says that her experience in D.Y.P. has gotten better each year she has been a part of the program. It has taught her to be both a leader and a follower.

“It’s truly amazing to get to watch yourself flourish as a speaker throughout your time in D.Y.P.,” Boda said. D.Y.P. is a great experience for Northview’s students, young and old. D.Y.P. allows its members to grow and even help others. If you’re looking for a rewarding club experience, D.Y.P. is one to look for.
